The Botanic Garden Teplice is run and funded by the Town Council of the city of Teplice. It is situated in Šanov in the South part of town close to Písečný vrch (Sand Hill) and Janáček Orchard. The Garden area is 2 hectares, approximately half of which is devoted to the open-air display of plants; the exhibition glasshouses occupy an area of 2400 m². The storage glasshouses, occupying an area of 1750 m², are not open to the public.
